It was a beautiful fall day and I went for a walk on the Greenway that begins at Armstrong Park in High Point, a favorite playground of mine when I was a kid. The Greenway cuts through High Point University where I met this cyclist, Kirby, waiting on some friends at a rest spot that overlooks the HPU baseball field. The campus of HPU has grown tremendously since Nido Quiben, became the president of the University.

On a drive through Randolph County, I came upon the Pisgah Covered Bridge which I had not been to in years. Pisgah Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge that spans the west fork of the Little River in Randolph County, North Carolina. It is one of two remaining original historic covered bridges in the state.
